Italy & Greece Honeymoon Packing Guide
June 22 - July 7 | Florence • Rome • Chania
June 22 - July 7 | Florence • Rome • Chania
One of the biggest things to remember about packing for Italy and Greece in the summer is this:
You are packing for heat, sun exposure, long walking days, and staying comfortable while still looking put together.
You will likely experience:
- very warm afternoons
- hot stone streets
- lots of stairs
- sunshine almost all day
- occasional humidity
- breezy evenings near the water in Greece
The secret to being comfortable is:
- breathable fabrics
- comfortable shoes
- lightweight layers
- and not overpacking
The good news:
You truly can do this trip with a carry-on suitcase and a backpack/personal item.
You’ll repeat outfits. Completely normal.
No one in Italy is paying attention to whether you wore the same linen pants twice.
Most days you’ll wear some version of:
Breathable top → comfortable bottoms → comfortable walking shoes → lightweight bag
For evenings:
Swap into a nicer top/dress + jewelry + nicer sandals/shoes (if you’d like)
For churches/Vatican:
Carry a lightweight scarf or linen button-up to cover shoulders if needed. Shorts for men are generally accepted as long as they are not athletic/lounge style. Shorts for women must be modest and close to the knee if not knee length.
